WIND ENSEMBLE, SYMPHONIC BAND AND CONCERT BAND
Following marching band season, musicians audition for placement in one of our three performing ensembles: wind ensemble, symphonic band and concert band.  These groups travel to select indoor competitions/events and perform in our spring concert.

ISSMA SOLO AND ENSEMBLE CONTESTS
Students are encouraged to participate in the ISSMA Solo & Ensemble events in January and February. Musicians may be awarded medals for their performance. 

​ISSMA ORGANIZATION CONTEST
The symphonic and concert bands may choose to participate in the ISSMA Organization Contest in April. Homestead bands consistently receive gold ratings. All students are expected to participate.
