FALL COLORGUARD

The Homestead High School Colorguard participates in two competitive seasons: Marching Band and Winterguard.

In the fall, colorguard members are also members of the Spartan Alliance Marching Band. Auditions for the fall colorguard are typically late April - early May. The season will run until mid November with most Saturdays containing either a practice or a competition. 

We try to host both a fall and spring clinic series for 3-8th graders to get them excited about their future with the Homestead Colorguard.

At the end of the fall season, members are allowed to audition for placement in one of our 3 winterguards that match their skillset level.

5/29, 5/30, 5/31 - Fundamentals - 4-8PM - Required for fall colorguard members. 

7/15 - 8/2 - Band Camp - Required for all fall colorguard members. (M-Tr 8-12 & 5-9, F 8-4)

WINTERGUARD
Winter Guard is an elite, indoor color guard performance group.  Auditions for winter guard are held in late fall.  Winter guard routines incorporate dance, flags, sabre and rifle work.  The HHS Winter Guard competes in both the Indiana High School Color Guard Association (IHSCGA) and the World Guard International (WGI) circuits. Staff includes Sabrina Hostetler, Robert Longboy, Samantha Lamont, Hannah Whaley, Jessica Fee, Madison Cypher, Krissie Merriam, and Gabby McCallister.

The Winter Guard is comprised of three groups: Open Class, Regional A, and Cadet. 

Everyone is welcome to attend the competitions and support the Homestead Winter Guard as they compete across Indiana.
