FALL COLORGUARDThe Homestead High School Colorguard participates in two competitive seasons: Marching Band and Winterguard.
In the fall, color guard members are a critical section in the Spartan Alliance Marching Band. Auditions for the fall color guard are typically late April - early May. The season will run until mid-November with most Saturdays containing either a practice or a competition. We try to host both a fall and spring clinic series for 3-8th graders to get them excited about their future with the Homestead color guard. At the end of the fall season, members can audition for placement in one of our 3 winter guards that match their skillset level. Questions? WINTERGUARD
Winter Guard is an elite, indoor color guard performance ensemble. Auditions for winter guard are held in late fall. Winter guard routines incorporate dance, flags, sabre and rifle work. The HHS Winter Guard competes in both the Indiana High School Color Guard Association (IHSCGA) and the World Guard International (WGI) circuits.
The Winter Guard is comprised of three groups: Open Class, Regional A, and Cadet.
Everyone is welcome to attend the competitions and support the Homestead Winter Guard as they compete across Indiana.
